We went along to the Esplanade Gardens for the WASO fun-night on Saturday. 20,000 people sat and waited with picnics as the evening grew dark and - still warm - the orchestra entertained us. The culmination was the 1812 overture with full choir, field guns from the artillary div of the army and the magnificent Swan Bells - some as old at the 14th century plealing out into the night. A mighty finish!
