The annual Robert Burns golf day was celebrated on Sunday in Mt Lawley. It was a Medley Foursomes (any combination in Scotch foursomes), played in 34 degrees - we're getting very brave these days! We were served champagne or a 'wee dram' prior to setting forth on the course - the 'wee dram' proved very effective in loosening the swing! The game was followed by a formal scottish supper - including the 'piping in' of the Haggis and assorted scottichnesses - more 'wee drams' too!
Unfortunately I had to leave the meal at 8.00 pm in order (before the wild singing and dancing) to fly to Singapore to be offshore for the grant of my permanent visa (more of that anon.)
'William Wallace' urged the troops onwards and upwards to 'FFURREEDOM'.
