We went to a WASO concert last night - Christmas present from Magda and Martin - thanks! The 'cellist was brilliant - his encore was the Allemande from solo suite No 5 by Bach. Roy Goodman is, of course, a very famous conductor. As an encore he spoke to the audience mentioning that he is regularly associated with 'Hip' music - 'historically informed performances' or, on this occasion 'he's in Perth'. The encore piece was an arrangement of 'If only you had known Susannah' ala Mozart - or 'If you knew Susie'.
