Perth was battered by a
sudden thunder storm yesterday. Lashing rain, hailstones the size of golf balls, 120 kmph wind, thunder and lightening took hold of the area around 4.30 in the afternoon. Much damage was reported. Luckily, our apartment is fine, except for holes in the flyscreens on the north-side windows.
St Ives clubhouse suffered a flash flood from east to west, clean through the building. All ground floor apartments were flooded. The residents were moved to alternate accommodation last night.
