As well as being a whizz on trombones and tubas and a maestro with Jazz Bands, Hugh sings a nifty bass line! We caught him in his cassock for a lovely evensong at JSR in a ceremony of remembrance for All Souls Day which included the beautiful Faure Requiem. This was followed by the opening of the school's Art Exhibition. I am VERY impressed by JSR! Last Sunday afternoon the Choristers sang a Haydn Mass and the Mozart Ave Verum as part of a concert to raise funds for their tour of the UK next July. They plan to sing in Ampleforth as well as Yorkminster and Durham Cathedral, Westminster Abbey - amongst others.
